Constancy Database - A database of 1500 images of 100 objects under 5 different lighting conditions and in front of 3 different backgrounds. To further the effective comparison of color constancy algorithms it is our desire to provide a large set of images which are collected under difficult conditions for such algorithms to function. The images we have collected are of 100 objects under five different lighting conditions (daylight, fluorescent, green, halogen, and incandescent) and in front of three different backgrounds (multicolored, gray, and green). The complete set of images can be downloaded soon. The images include mask files which have been created by hand so as to allow for easy differentiation of the object in question from the background. This is useful for object recognition tasks. |
